Black and white bedroom ideas for a boys teenage bedroom?

I want to decorate my teenage bedroom. I’m a 17 year old boy who loves old rock and roll and would love a black and white bedroom that incorporates the color red. I’m thinking something with a checkerboard type look would be good. I have black bedroom furniture and a comfy red chair already. Do you have any black and white bedroom ideas that would be good for a large teenage bedroom? I would love to create a separate sleeping and social area for when my friends are over.

When you say old rock ‘n roll do you mean rockabilly? Red and white is a great color combo for a vintage styled rock ‘n roll bedroom. I’m envisioning teenage bedroom decor items from the 1950′s like black and white floor tiles, red fuzzy dice, and vinyl LPs (you can keep the LPs as is and display on your walls or string them together and hang from the ceiling as a room divider).

If black and white tile flooring isn’t an option consider adding some functional square or rectangular whiteboard and chalkboard wall decals. They are ideal for posting reminders in addition to adding a nice decor element.

Another thought would be to paint a checkerboard pattern on your walls with black chalkboard paint and white dry erase paint/magnetic paint. Use painter’s tape to create your squares and then paint.
